How to Enter Cheat Codes in GTA Vice City

Vice City cheats are entered during normal gameplay. On PC you type the code on the keyboard while controlling Tommy; there is no cheat menu.

PC: step by step

• Start or load your game and make sure you are in control of your character, not in a menu or cutscene.
• Type the code with no spaces, for example ASPIRINE.
• Watch for the on-screen confirmation message.
• Press Escape only after the effect has appeared if you want to check your inventory or map.

If a code does not work

• Check each letter; the codes are one unbroken word.
• Make sure the game, not another window, has keyboard focus.
• Try again after a few seconds; some codes toggle an effect on and off.
• Confirm you are using the original Vice City and not a different game or a modded copy that changes cheats.

Console and mobile versions use different input methods. Platform-specific codes are added to each cheat page only after they are checked.
